My house has just shaken what was it?

I don't live anywhere near earthquake sites. in fact i live in yorkshire england. Whatever it was moved my kitchen table. and scared the bejesus out of me. it didn't last long no more than a few seconds but it was totally weird.

It just happeend where i live in East Yorkshire. Really scared me and i don't know what the h**l it was. I was looking outside to see if anyone else had thre lights on to indicated they had noticed something. I'm scared! What could it of actually been? And was it dangerouse? Dernt go back to sleep

YEa, i'm in birmingham, just turned my computer off and the whole place just started rocking, i didnt know what the h**l was happening for a second or 2. lol

Yes I'm in East Yorks too- freaked me out a bit TBH, stuff falling off shelves.....SKY news said it was felt everywhere in UK
