I took the back off and the batteries are covered in a green plastic. The inside of the phone has a model # and SN code. What if do I need to take to the store to replace the batteries?

  1. the replacement battery will be the same or similar.  take the battery to the or even the entire phone to the store with you. If you have a radio shack near by I would recomend them.

  2. Try this, we do it at work all the time.....

On the bottom of the cordless phone itself, the headset, the two small silver pieces that actually make the phone charge, take a rubber eraser off of an ink pen and rub them with that, then do the same to the two pieces it would meet up with on the base itself.

This seems to help our phones tremendously and we use them 12 hours a day.  I do this about 1 time a week.

Otherwise, yes, take your battery with you to the store or at least write down your numbers.  A picture taken with your cell phone will help too.  Know the make of your phone, just be informed when you go in.

    Good Luck hon!

  3. before you replace the batteries you could try running them completly down and then powering them completly back up,because batteries sometimes develop a memory that wont let them charge all the way back up sometimes. the battery can be taken out the phone and taken to  the store for an accurate replacement if this does not work.

  4. Just take out the whole battery cluster (unplug the wires where it connects to the handset) and take it to Radio Shack.  They will probably have what you need.

  5.   Yes, its no big deal to walk into any store, Radio shack, Costco, Target, Walmart, Sears or whatever with s small hand phone in your bad or pocket, people have been doing this for 20 yrs!!

You're not the only one fummbled by the outragous numbering and labling on these damnned batteries that were made to make get so angry and upset that we just buy a new one to avoid the hassle and throw the old ones away;  thats the REAL purpose in the poor marketing and array of confusing selection in batteries and cords. Bear in mind who makes the phones and who makes the batteries.

They do it to us on purpose so dont let 'them' win.

BE STRONG> GO TO BATTLE with phone in hand and win one for us stupid, battery- challanged nillies who hate the process but love the feel of victory when we push those beloved buttons on our old   G.E.'s.
