My houseboat wont start. I rented a houseboat last week and im 10 miles out engine doesn't turn over.?

I was driving along and it started beeping and then the little picture of a garden wattering can come on. I have wireless satelite laptop im in the basement of the boat but when i turn the key it clicks and shows me the wattering can. Im looking at the big motor in the engine room and there is lots of smoke and a burn smell also my generators arent running so i don't know how long ill have power. Any ideas?

That's what cell phones are for.  Call the Marina where you rented the boat.

The boat should have a manual somewhere being a rental boat,  your water pumps may have went out.   If you have a cell phone, call the cost guard or your name will be changed to Gilligan ,  Your wife will have a choice of mary ann or  Ginger

Drop an anchor and put on your emergency lights. let engine cool. check radiator , oil could be low also. You might have overheated the engine .
