My housekeeper is cleaning my house (first time) and I don't know what to do with myself! help!?

I had been cleaning all day before she got here so everything would be put away and I could do the little stuff I didn't mind doing. So she got here and started working. I hate to sit down when other people around me work, so I worked around the house doing other stuff, but now I'm really tired (I'd cleaned all day). Do you think she'll think I'm a ninny if I sit down and watch tv or read while she works?

You should follow her around and complain that she's not doing a good enough job.

I used to clean houses for a living (for 2 and a half years before I got pregnant).  As long as you stay out of her way, that will be good enough.  If she's in the kitchen, go in the living room.  If she's in the living room, go in the bedroom.  But aside from that, just go about your business as usual.  Watch t.v, read something, talk on the phone, or even go outside and do some gardening or something!  But PLEASE don't forget to tip!!!

NO....you are PAYING her to do it.  Thats the purpose of her being there...its her job.  

If you will be in her way then no...and it might be awkward for her to clean a room around you.

Unless you plan for her to become a life-long friend, you shouldn't be all that concerned with what she thinks. And as long as you leave her alone while she works she shouldn't be concerned with what you do.

Call me stupid....but if you cleaned all day...what in the world do you need a housekeeper for. People that have more money than brains.....why not clean your own house and donate the money to a chairty or the human society.......but, that's just my opinion......
