My houseplant type palm's leaves are browning on the tips and it has continued for the last couple years.?

I can't make it stop and I'm tried watering it less, watering it more, lots of sun, little sun, indoors, outdoors, PLEASE HELP!

  1. It sounds like overwatering.  

    If the pot looks too small for the size of the plant it is probably rootbound.  

    If so, repot it, fertilize lightly and water it only when it is quite dry.


  2. It's from too much water. If it's been in the same pot for years the pot is probably filled with mostly roots and very little dirt. Put it in a larger pot and don't water it till the dirt is dry.
