Take him to the cleaners.  I have no respect for men that lay a hand on there women.

It may be the first time but it'll never be just once. Get out of there. Even if you feel like you have nowhere to go, most communities have excellent programs in place that will give you and your daughters a place to stay and help you get back on your feet.
