Question:

My hubby doesn't have his green card yet, but he has his driver's lic. Can he go to Puerto Rico and be back?

My hubby & I wanted to go to Puerto Rico for a mini vacation, but he doesn't have his green card yet, he does have his driver's license, can he go and come back with no problems??

PS. Remember that we will have to pass international waters to get to P. Rico.

  1. He will need his passport and US visa if coming from an international location.


  2. if he's traveling for the USto PR, he just need a photo ID, drivers license from any state in the US. but if he's traveling from another international foreign country, then he needs visa and permits.

  3. go to USCIS' website and check it out .....they should be able to answer that in the FAQ section......depends on if he has that "stamp" in the passport that shows he is LEGAL & just waiting......you usually have a window to travel & work....just to make sure check the site before traveling!

  5. You guy should have no problem and don't listen to ignorant people. Maybe a puertorrican girl turn him down or dump him and his is going nuts.LOL...... By the way there are many beautiful beaches and historical places to visit.

  6. If  he  has  a  Permission to travel  from Immigration with his CONDITIONAL Residency..Yes..

    If  Not  he will need his  country Passport with a Valid B2 visa...

  7. NO.  If you are flying from the continental US you do NOT need a passport, just need some form of ID. I fly there often and I always use my drivers license.
