I think you need more than st john's wort for bipolar disorder. He should see a specialist to be put on meds.

It didn't work for me and made me kind of neurotic.  If he is truly bi-polar, he should probably see a doctor and research appropriate medications that can help.

It is commonly used for depression and anxiety in Europe. All I know is that it doesn't work instantly you have to keep taking it for a few weeks to see if it helps. Bi-polar is a serious disease that requires psychiatric drugs because the person can become a threat to himself and others. You should probably not label him as "bipolar" if he's just moody.

St John's wart isn't going to do anything, nothing will!  My ex husband has a major case of it too.  Sorry, nothing will make it better and if it does make it better it will only be for a very short while!  I couldn't take his cheating on me, even though I knew it was from his disease.  Hope you do better with all of it, than I did!  It's such a devastating and cruel disease!
