  1. If you are a citizen and you are legally married then there should be no problem.

  2. Get a lot of money and an immigration attorney.  I think there are many factors - such as does your husband have a criminal background.  I do know that the immigration laws became stiffer after 9/11.

  3. You are in deep c**p !!!!!!!!!!!

  4. that sucks, it woulda been easier for him 8 years AGO. its not immpossible tho, u guys ARE married now

  5. why doesnt he take the citizen test, put in for him to get his citizen. get a immigration lawyer or somethig to help him get to his goals.

  6. WHAT IS HIS STATUS? how did he get here? Does he have any paperwork? These make a BIG difference.

PS The INS doesn't exist any more. They were taken over by the department of homeland security and we now have the USCIS.

  7. Sis i do not know anything much about the law but just hearing you say he hasnt been a us citizen for so long that could be on trouble because he is an illegal alien, but you should try to talk to a lawer to know more info, everything takes process.....but dont take it from me cuz im not a us citizen .... it must be hard for you to have this situation, take care, god bless

  8. I would say you have an excellent chance of keeping him in the country.

Since you have known him so long and can prove that you have married by choice not obligation.

INS is really trying to prove the marriages that are not in this situation. It obviously you love the guy, they will be able to tell if you don't.

INS has consolers who help people like you and your husband. If you call them, even anonymously, they would be able to advise you better.

  9. What  is your question? is He a immigrant like is he waiting on he's alien card? or does he has visa if so If you got marry just file a petition  for him to get he's work permit witch is form  I-765 and cost  $340 you can find more information in this site.

  10. A very good question and I wish I had answers for you. Best of Luck!

  11. Is he a legal resident?  If not, why don't you go back to his country and come in the right way?  That is the legal and responsible thing to do.  Anything less than that, you are a criminal for aiding and abetting a criminal.

This may sound harsh but it is just the way it is.

tnb...where do you get that idea.  Marrying a US citizen does not make you a citizen.  It does not even automatically make you legal to enter the US.

  12. Goto an atty and get a consultation. They are usually free. If not, ask how much. Get all the info you need. The pros and the cons. My wife is from the philippines and without an atty guiding us we never would have made it. She is now a US citizen after 6 years and it cost us $2000 in atty fees.

But we had a free consultation and learned what the pros and cons were. Once you know that, you can choose to keep the atty or go it on your own.

  13. I assume you are not a citizen either, or by marrying you, he would have become one???  You will not have a very good life if you have to hide and take secret jobs because you are here illegally.  I wouldn't bring children into this situation.

  14. Dear Sahara you must do all kind of application to fullfill paper work. just go to this web site tyou may have alot info better than asking in yahoo. the just chage the name  for Departament of homeland security. just go ahead its the federal page for all legal and free forms just go step by step

    here its the URl..L        http://www.dhs.gov/index.shtm

    Good Luck!!

  15. yes, you have a chance my daugther husband is not a citizen he been here 5 years they have a child,he just got his 10 year green card. the first thing your husband  needs to get a temporary green card it will allow him to work this took about 1 and half year are so.you need to get a sponsor line up,get a petition once approved then you get your tax information.document your marriage with pictures.love letter anything that proves your relationship together.took him 5 years to get a 10 year green card after gathering all the information they made appointment for him to come in. oh yes don,t forget id ,birth certificates good luck. go too  www.uscis.gov for information about price.

  16. Arent you guys married?  If you are a citizen then  a permantent citizenship should automatically be offered to him.  Im sure you can apply for it if its not offered.  Ive heard that you have to go through some process that proves you married for love and NOT for a green card.
