My husband accidently washed his phone [in the Washing Machine]. He left it in a pair of pants. The battery was dead before he washed it, but now it doesn't even light up when your plug in the charger.

It seems dry, but it didn't go in the dryer!

Is it dead for good or is there a way to make it work again?

  1. i washed my flash drive once and it still worked. i suggest you remove any things that are removable (like the battery) and allow it to dry for a couple days. if this fails make sure to look for a most likely red circular sticker on the battery and/or the phone under the battery and remove it before returning it to the store because it indicates that the phone got wet.

  2. Take the battery compartment open, take out the battery and wipe the contacts....let it sit open for 48 hours....if you can open it farther do so...

If it doesn't work after that get a new one.....

  3. buy distiled water and flush the phone out thuraly with it.  regular water has impureties that will cause corosion and shorts if it has not done so already.  rince it with distiled water asap, remove everythign that can be removed.  dry with a hair dryer best you can, then wait 48 hours.  this should work, the being wet isn;t a problem, its the impureties from regular water tgat will kill it.  just letting it dry is no good, you must rince it out with pure distilled water (not spring water or tap, but distilled)
