does anyone have any websites that can help us we are Canadian and live in Canada and would like a child that is between the ages of birth to 2 yrs old, s*x does not matter to us as long as they are healthy. We don't want to pay and arm or leg for legal fees either, we have our name with the CAS agency in our city just wondering if we are able to put our name in other cities in Canada. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. If you have a child in your home whom you are parenting, what's the rush to get a different child?

Please don't tell your foster child that you're looking for someone else to adopt. How heartbreaking.

The reason for legal fees is to make certain that adoptions are done correctly. Anyone trying to circumvent the law to  make life easier for themselves or to get what they want by cutting corners is by definition NOT a good choice to parent any child.

Try to realize that you are already parents. Put your best effort into parenting your foster child for now. Don't force things to happen in a rush. Let go and let God.

  2. Being a father to an adopted son, my wife and I wrote letters to local ob-gyn doctors and to high school guidance counselors to see if either knew of someone who was interested in putting a baby up for adoption.  I hope something works out for you soon because I know how anxious we were while we were waiting for a baby.

  3. I cannot believe the post above me! contacting ob gyns is asking them to breach HIPPA laws! and adoptive parents should not be preying on high school students in this way; that is just so wrong

Have you not heard about the case of Stephanie Bennett the High School student who went to her high school counsellor for support and ended up being persuaded to run away from home with her baby to another State without telling her parents and coerced into giving her baby up?

    You people make me sick

Anyway I think Canada is a little more humane when it comes to adoption and you will have to go through the correct channels.  If a Judge in Canada gets a whiff of anything unethical like the above poster is suggesting, he will NOT finalize the adoption

  4. That can't be legal, John B.  If I found out my gynecologist was breaking confidentiality, I'd sue.

  5. Oh my god...writing to HIGH SCHOOLS to try to get babies??

    YOU, sir, are a PREDATOR.

    Sick, sick, sick.

Please, do NOT take this person's advice and prey upon underaged minors and try to take their babies from them.

What is the rush, anyway?  If you are doing foster care, isn't having the foster child in your home with you enough?  Providing a loving and stable home to kids who truly NEED it...these foster kids...is admirable.

Convincing teenagers at High Schools that you are more fit to parent than they are is just plain sleazy.
