My husband and I are wanting to adopt, but right now we are limited money wise (due to having paid for tubal reversal surgery and other fees toward adopting a baby that never came through). So far, we have been running around in circles and getting no where. We have a current homestudy and have finished all of our adoption training classes. We went through social services for foster care, but have been highly frustrated by the whole situation.

We have jumped every hoop that has come our way. We have been working on this for several years now and are getting frustrated.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

  1. Adoption is quite a journey.  I know that we too hit obstacles during our adoption process and it did become frustrating.  But looking back, I wouldn't trade it for the world.  The frustration and challenges we experienced along the way only made us stronger parents for fighting for what is best for our son.  Our son has a special medical condition, and all of the things we went thru during the adoption process made us stronger to handle the medical challenges we've had.

Good luck to you.  It's worth all of the ups & downs along the way when your family finally becomes complete.

  6. Are you wanting an infant or a child of any age? Foster care is a good route.......................

  7. There are far more children who need loving homes waiting to be adopted than there are people bemoaning the lack of availability of an infant for them.

Think about it.  Adoption is about giving a home to a child who needs one; not about you.

    Good luck
