My husband and I are planning to visit france and italy. I am a US citizen, but he is not??

I just need my us passport to go. However, my husband is just a resident here in the US. He was born in Mexico. What does he need in order to go to these places?

    Passport required.

    Visa not required for a stay of max. 3 months.

    Minors up to/incl. 17 years of age may be included in parent's

    passport, provided travelling with parents.

    Minors born and residing in France, and included in their

    parents' non-French passport, must hold a 'Titre d'Identite

    Republicain'.

    Passenger must hold:

    - return/onward ticket; and

    - sufficient funds; and

    - documents for return/onward journey.

    Passport required.

    Visa not required for a stay of max. 90 days.

    Visitor can extend length of stay by applying to the local

    authorities.

    Visitor must hold:

    - return/onward tickets and all documents required for next

      destination; and/or

    - sufficient funds, unless a sponsor can guarantee for

      passenger at the airport upon arrival.

    Non-compliance with entry regulations will result in fines

    between EUR 3,500.- and EUR 5,500.- per person and deportation of the passenger to country of origin at carrier's expense. In case of severe non-compliance license/permission concerning landing rights can be suspended or revoked.


  2. your husband needs a visa to enter those countries. he needs to apply for one at an embassy or consulate. but i think he only needs one type of visa... something called a shengen or something... to enter the other country.

  3. mexican nationals are granted visa free access to the EU....so like you, he just needs to bring his passport.

  4. He needs to have a valid passport from Mexico...and his valid U.S. Resident Card.

    You only need your valid U.S. Passport.

    Your husband will be denied boarding at the airport if he doesn't have his valid Mexico passport.

  5. you both need passports from the country of your citizenship.  if he's from Mexico, he'll need a Mexican passport.  no other way around it.
