We are looking for a newer and up to date community, excellent schools, near a large city, great job opportunities, lower housing cost, lots of fun things to do near by and growth in economic development.

  1. If you are definitely going to start a family, and if you're looking for a nice size home that's affordable, try looking in North or South Carolina.

  2. East Fishkill, NY! It's in the Hudson Valley Region of NY. It's about 1 and a half hours north of New York City. Taxes are very reasonable and home prices have come down tremendously. It is in  a beautiful country setting yet it is close to  shopping, recreation, etc.Train stations are close by within minutes of any neighborhood.  Many people car pool to Manhatten for their jobs or hop the train. The train is also a great way to get to NY City for a day of culture and fun. The Schools are excellent--ranking up there in the Middle States evaluations. IBM is building a large addition to it's plant and this will certainly boost the economy there. The area is still being developed and new schools and services are being constructed. We raised three sons there and all have gone on and graduated from college. Please take a look at a home for sale in that area to get an idea of what you can get for your money. (You might want to call the realtor to view that particular home , also. We are the owners.)

In 2005, Money Magazine ranked The Hamlet of Hopewell Junction NY ( one section of East Fishkill)  31  out of the 100 Best Places to Live in the US! Check out The article from Money Magazine--

  3. Atascocita, Texas about 30 min northeast of Houston. It has everything you are looking for.

  4. No better place then Saratoga Springs, NY....   it has big city life with a country feel,  plenty of recreational activities in ANY direction, beautiful scenery, a brand new tech park being built only minutes away,  several lakes in the area and ski resorts only minutes away --it is in the foothills of the Adirondack mountains and close to the famous ski resorts of Vermont as well....  Schools are A-1 and there are something like 10 excellent public and private colleges in the area.. including RPI, Skidmore, Russell Sage, and Union....  It is only 30 minutes to Albany (NY's capital) and just a beautiful smaller city to reside in....

  5. It'll be easier to answer if you let us know where you are in the world.. I'm guessing you are in the States because people in USA thinks that its the only country in the world...

Try Michigan State.. all canadians go there to visit because its cheap and always something to do... michigan state university is also a well-known uni, so school around there must be good as well. You should research michigan.
