  1. Not likely, but xpers say 3 to six children out of every 1,000 will have autism you can go 2 autism.com

my mom has a certain disorder, but I didn't get it so don't worry yourself consider yourself lucky you have a child and if you want another why not?

  2. While we certainly can offer our opinion, and many of us have experience with families with several students with Autism of varying severity - if this is a concern I would suggest that you undergo some genetic testing and counseling to see if there is something that may be identified.

Obviously this works better with some disabilities than others but I would certainly investigate the possibility if I was in your position.

  3. The chances are higher for parents of an autistic child to have another autistic child compared to parents who do not have an autistic child, but it's not 100% by any means.  The incidence is around 5-6%.  Chances of having a "normal" child: over 90%.  Good luck!

  4. statistics show that there is about a 4% chance that an additional child will have autism--slight increase from families without autism which is 1 in 150 or less tahn 1%

if the autism is caused by a genetic disorder like Fragile X-than there is a 25% chanceto have  a boy with fragile x--girls would be okay

no one knows why the 4%--it is just based on statistics of fmailies taht currently have autism
