Go up the BC Route 99 and you'll see beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean accompanied by the Rocky Mountains. And Holiday Inn in Downtown Vancouver's pretty sweet.

If you are wanting to see Cape Breton Island...cross at Canso...the most majestic viewswould be the drive through CapeBreton Highlands Natioonal Park...but....dothe routeclockwise!!..so youare onthe "inside"oftheroadand not thecliff edge..lol..

CabotProvincial park...day use...isamust...greatlongbeach!

The northwestcoast....Digby toKentville....is unaccessable..exceptin afewspots...veryisolated...there is CapeSpit..northof Canning on rt 358

CapeSpit is very basic.....justthetrails.....get info offinternetor from books...no restaurants etc nearby....

If you go from Halifax north (Marine Driveisthe touristdesignation) to lawrencetown(beach..known forsurfing),on to MusquodoboitHarbour (Martineque Beach), on to Clam Bay (Clambaybeach..smaller than the other two) thatcoversthebeaches in that area..ifyouwent furtheryouwouldcometoTaylorsHeadProvinci...

ThedrivefromHalifaxto Peggy'scove is nice...butfrom then to Stmargarets Bay and on Chester ispretty much the same...ruggedlandscape..etc...notmuch in accesstotheshore..

Ifyou taketheshorelinerdfrom Chester Basin down through to Lunenburg..thats nice...abit "touristy" in Mahones Bay...

Continuingdown..toRiverport(..hintgoog... NovaScotia...an excellentone here) andon ismorelike the landscape along Main..CapeCod...etc...flat...dune grassesetc...

Thisrouteiscalled theLighthouseroute..
