  1. November it'll be really cold by then.. you should pick that will be cruising somewhere south.. hehehe.. unless u want to freeze and go to alaska

  2. Technically November is still Hurricane Month, but a rare few pop up during this month, as its the end of hurricane season, and if there is one the ship does everything in its power to avoid it, like going to different ports, and etc. You would love cruising. I wouldnt not go during Thanksgiving as the prices everywhere would be higher. Other then that their is really no bad cruising time, except the Holidays, and when school is out, because of lots of kids. Unless that doesn't bother you, and then its no problem.

  3. omg that's the same time we went on and it was wonderful it wasn't cold or hot it was nice weather and its not packed because some family's have holiday and school at the time so it is nice and its better than summer because i heard it could be hotter and packed w/ little kids from school being out

  4. First off...congratulations on your first cruise.

November is a great time to sail...actually, I would sail anytime.

Are you looking for this November?  If you are, start getting the plans done...

I am sailing this November, on the Royal Caribbean, Freedom of the Seas, with a group I have going.  We are going to the Eastern Caribbean.

  5. My wife and I just returned from a cruise (our 25th Anniversary).  It was our first cruise as well and we decided to go to the Mediterranean on Disney's Cruise Ship Magic.

We met dozens of "veteran" cruisers, some said they had been on over 22 cruises and stated Disney did it better than most cruises whether your a couple or a family or a single parent.  They had activities, shows, lectures/seminars for all ages scheduled each day.  They even scheduled time for adults to go to the local Casino's in Barcelona and Monte Carlo/Monaco.

Seas were calm and I'm told they normally are in the Med, but there are rainy seasons in the early Spring and Fall.

Our new found friends from the cruise mentioned that the Gulf, Atlantic, and Pacific cruises have been favorable most of the time but they try to go on these cruises in the late May-early June timeframe to avoid the "peaks" in tourist crowds and the weather is normally more moderate.

No one can predict what mother nature will do, but we lucked out on our cruise as we had over 14 days of perfect weather during our whole trip (it only rained while we were leaving Newark airport headed to Barcelona on the start of our trip).

    Have Fun!

  6. November is a great time to visit the Mexican Riviera, or the Caribbean.  The weather will be beautiful.  And you won't have to worry about hurricane season at all.   Cruising is great - you're going to love it!

  7. It really depends where your going. It is apparently great for the Gulf of California. Very good temperature, generally good weather, and a great chances to see whales. The Caribbean would be another good spot to check out. It is a little late in the season for more northerly cruises, and but a fairly good time for getting a far south cruise if you ever wanted to hit Australia, New Zealand, or Antarctica because it is the start into their summer.

Word of warning. You may want to get some motion sickness prescriptions before hand. I have seen many honeymoons and anniversaries cruise ruined when they found out someone gets sea sick.

    Good Voyage!

  8. It would depend on where you are sailing.

You can still have hurricane season which officially expires at the end of November in the Caribbean and Bahamas.  It is hit or miss and IF there was one, the ship would move out of it's way....trust me I was on one during Hurricane Andrew.

Mexico is good at that time of the year.  Hawaii would be as well.

No matter where or when, just do it!  What a wonderful way to celebrate your Anniversary.  You did great in picking each other and a cruise!

    Bon Voyage!

  9. November is a good month.  Kids are in school, so the ship will not be overrun.  The prices are low because of the season, except for Thanksgiving week.  The weather in the Caribbean is great.  Hot, but not sweltering.  Out first cruise was the first week of Dec.  It was great.  It was enough to get us hooked.  Now we go every year.

  10. Ive been on several cruises and September, and October are great months if you are cruising toward Mexico and such.

Carnival cruise lines are great fun for the young to middle aged people, but older folks might wanna lean toward Norwegian.
