used to go all of the time with my family when I was little, so it is quite nostalgic for me. We are 25 and 29 years old and are planning on having children soon, so we wanted to take a vacaction alone together before we start having our family. Can anyone recommend a good time of year for us to go? Which Disney resort would you recommend? Any specific places that are more targeted toward adults, as the last time I went there I was only 15 years old? Thanks

  1. i love it. now during the winter and not during the summer. Winter is too cold and summer is way too extremely hot. maybe spring or fall.

Or go during august. it wasnt too busy for us. we stayed in disney for 2 nights and then stayed with family for 4 or 5. it was rlly fun!!!!!! Beware of the heat tho. it wasnt too bad. but still. It can get up too 115!

    :)

  2. Ok  Take advice from an expert here.  Go in November but make sure its before thanksgiving.  Because thanksgiving week-end is total h**l for waiting times.

November is the best.  Weather is still warm but pleasant.

October can be good too but avoid Halloween.  its too busy.

    Have fun !

  3. My husband and I love going to Disney World. We have been several times in early May. It's not too hot and not very busy. The lines for things are maybe 20-30 minutes long at the most. We have been in January when it is practically dead but it is too cold to really enjoy yourself. I have never been in the Fall but I imagine it is also a good time; not too hot or cold and it should be slow since kids are in school.

Last time we went, we stayed at the Polynesian. It has a wonderful tropical feel. It has a wonderful Ohana breakfast buffet and a nightly Luau. I love the volcano pool! It is right on the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and is next to the ticket and transportation center so it was pretty easy to get to any Disney park.

All four parks, Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studio, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom have rides and attractions that are geared towards adults. Disney has made many thrill rides to to attract and please people of all ages and interests. You will probably want to check out Downtown Disney as well. There is the Downtown Disney Marketplace (shopping), Pleasure Island (clubs), DisneyQuest (virtual theme park), and Disney's West Side (restaurants)

I would recommend that you check out the Unofficial Guide to Disney World. That book has a ton of information. There are also some good wesites out there, like www.allears.net, www.mousesavers.com, www.wdwinfo.com, and www.mouseplanet.com.

    Have a wonderful time!

  4. You should go in November we did the same and it wasn't to hot or to cold

  5. GO IN END OF JUNE OR  EARLY JULY

    STAY IN DOWNTOWN DISNEY

THEIR ARE CLUBS THERE WHERE U CAN HAVE FUN

  6. we went the first week of november and it was so nice. there wasn't a lot of people, and the weather was really nice. we didn't stay at disney, though. if you don't mind the 10 minute ride there and home, stay off site. we stayed in lake buena vista at the comfort inn, and rented a car to get there and back.

  7. October. I dunno havent been for years and I hate disney

  8. Okay. If you can take the time off, middle of January is a great time to go. The crowds are smaller, the weather is nice and the rates are low. Can’t beat that. Most kids are in school; people have spent most of their money on Christmas and are now back at work trying to pay for everything. The only exception would be locals and tourist. School years vary depending on the country.  Try to make it before valentines. Although it is nice and romantic, you will not be the only ones with that same idea. Also, try to avoid the Marathon Weekend because it gets crowded and traffic gets affected. So driving time increases a great deal.

No to talk about resorts... you can stay at different hotels but I would recommend staying on property. Why? Because of the perks. First, you will have free transportation between the hotel and the parks. means you don't have to worry about finding parking, taking the tram, etc. also if you are staying at a Disney hotel you are allowed to go into certain parks on certain days an hour before anyone else. Or stay an hour later. You can get a lot done during that first hour. Some off property parks offer free transportation but they usually have a set schedule and will arrive late at the park and leave early. Really hard to enjoy the park on someone else’s schedule. Now, where to stay when you stay on property.

Value Resorts: I like Pop Century. Their buses are not as packed as the All Stars. their buses stop at three hotels. Sometimes you might have to wait for a couple of buses to get on board.

Moderate Resorts: Port Orleans is nice and I really like Coronado Springs. Although it’s kind of far (relatively speaking) from the parks, it offers a quite resort with a large pool area as well. As a couple of standard pools for more quite relaxed stay. it has a couple of nice restaurant options.

Deluxe resorts: you really can't go wrong with any of them but my three favorites are Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Boardwalk. Each one offers a benefit. They are expensive but worth it. You can go to the Disney website and see more details on each hotel.

Last bit of advice... restaurants. If you have your heart set on a certain restaurant you should make reservations in advance. Remember that there are other restaurants outside of the parks. You can visit any resort or even downtown Disney. But they can become very busy due to special events or just because they are popular. Restaurants that I would recommend at the parks would be Brown Derby (Disney’s Hollywood Studios), Le Celier (Canada Pavilion, Epcot) and Cinderella’s Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom. It’s a character meal but it is a unique experience than any Disney fan should experience.

Hope that helps. you can find more information at www.allearsnet.com

  9. id say magic kingdom its a good place to relax and watch the fireworks at night you will have a great time there and i think you should go there in june or july thats a great time to be there

  10. i went with my family a couple of years ago....and i LOVED it!!!

we went in June, and that was a huge mistake!! it was to hot, and it rained everyday. so u might want to go around January, Febuary, November, or December. if it was me deciding, i would go in December, because i herd that it is amazing with all the lights! as to the resort, you might want to go to the New Orleans resort, or one that i cant think of right now, but it had the name French in it.
