  1. If he is a permanent resedent he only needs a U.S. passport same as you.

  2. I just checked the website of the German embassy in Mexico, since that's my native language, and the same rules apply for all "Schengen Countries" in Europe. It States:

Mexican citizens do not need a visa for short-trips up to 90 days and without obtaining an employment. Applicants, whose place of residence is not in Mexico, must apply for a visa in the country where they are residing.

So, if your husband has a mexican passport, he must apply for a visa at the respective French consulate for his residence, if he is an american citizen, he can travel to France for a period less than 90 days without a visa.

    Embassy in US:

French Embassy, Washington DC, United States:

    2221 Kalorama Rd Nw

    Washington, DC

    +1 202 944 6000

may provide information on the applicable french consulate
