Our daughter will be attending Clark Atlanta could someone recommend a nice family oriented community within 20 miles or so from Clark, also is the cost of living as high as we've heard I've done some research and coming from Ohio there's seems to be a very big difference

  1. Everybody is free. Yes you can.

A difference can be adjusted when it comes to personal priorities.

  2. Well, I moved to Atlanta a few months ago, when I moved I found it to be pretty hard trying to research all of the areas myself, so I used a locater. Home Team Locators was the name of the company I used, and they were pretty good. They ask you about everything you want and your budget. Their site is www.hometeamlocators.com -they changed their site since I used them it seems to be under construction, but you can contact Jason Barnes at jasonbarnes@hometeamlocators.com.

  3. Atlanta is so very nice there are a lot of different neighborhoods that you can enjoy. There are different places you can live in Dekalb county that are nice such as Decatur or the Emory area, Stone Mountain or Lithonia. Traffic is very bad in Atlanta we have the worst traffic on the east coast and second worst in the United States, so be apprehensive about where you work in regards to where you live. As far as the pricing. The prices are a lot compared to Ohio, but you get your money's worth. Especially now with the real estate market being so low. right now would be ideal for buying a house here since the houses are so cheap. There are also up and coming areas such as the Grant Park area and the area around the AUC is starting to get a little better, but Southwest Atlanta is also a nice place to look into also.

  4. Atlanta GA is huge and a very nice metropolitan city to settle in as home prices are somewhat reasonable...

FYI I went to college in Ohio and have family (nephew and niece) that grew up in Atlanta where my oldest sister and her husband still live along with my elderly Mom and we make 2 trips a year to visit.

Personally if I were in Your Shoes where you actually live bec commuting traffic in Metro Atlanta is BAD due to 3 major interstates passing through the biggest city in the Southeast, I would recommend you and your spouse focus on getting a good written job first before deciding where exactly you will settle down and please remember that God rewards patience!

    Hope the Above Info Helps!

  5. Clark Atlanta is in the heart of Atlanta. I would recommend visiting the area a couple of time before moving. The traffic here is the worse that I've seen and I am from NYC.
