  1. No !!! It will be fine.

  2. Just surface corrosion.

Won't "hurt the workin of it none."

  3. it should be safe to use.

brass is not naturally shiny it has to be polished constantly

manufacturers put a coating on the brass to give it that shine without having to shine it

the bleach reacted funny with the coating of the brass but not the metal itself

brass cleaner will shine it back but you will have to constantly shine it '

and since the coating on the brass has been compromised by the bleach it is much more likely to rust and oxidise now which WILL not be safe but that will take prolly a season or two to happen

  4. JUST A LITTLE DISCOLORATION FROM THE BLEACH,IT'LL BE FINE,JUST LET ME KNOW THE NEXT TIME YALL PLAN ON GRILLING STEAKS,WOULDN'T MIND HAVING ONE.

  5. Never use bleach or any other harsh chemicals on propane valves or equipment.

The concern is the condition of the relief valve. On the back of the service valve is a relief valve which has a spring set to release at 375 psi. Using a harsh chemical like bleach could very well remove any protective coating on the relief valve spring or seat. I would recommend that you take the cylinder to a refurbishing centre to have it evaluated by a professional. The problem is that we can no longer guarantee that the relief valve will vent if an overpressure situation occurs.

Your life is worth a lot more than the cost of having a new valve installed!
