  1. That was wrong of him and it's understandable that you're annoyed. I think he is making excuses by saying it leaves after two years (that's untrue as far as I know, I used to accompany a s*x-ed teacher twice a week in college and never heard this!). He was wrong and doesn't sound like he respects you much.

  2. Hope you don't turn into a tree?.

  3. that's f**ked up!! he totally violated your trust. He definately should have told you and left the decision of protection up to you...and he's trifling...how you gonna know you have a virus and just assume it's gone instead of having it checked out. btw, it's a VIRUS and there IS NO cure for H.P.V. i feel a flash of Lorrena Bobbitt coming on!!!

  4. No, it doesn't leave the body. It's a virus that usually stays dormant in men's bodies forever. 8/10 people who are sexually active in the US now have HPV.

Yeah, he should've told you he had it, but with odds like that... You were gonna get it from someone else anyway.

Don't leave him over it. If he gave you herpes or AIDs.. then that's grounds for a divorce, but not HPV. Like I said 80% of ALL SEXUALLY ACTIVE AMERICANS have it.

(There are many different kinds. Not all of them cause cancer. Would you be upset if he gave you the flu? That's a virus too. :P )

  5. HPV is more common than you think. Make sure you continue to get regular paps, and treat symptoms if they occur (often times there are no symptoms). You two should use condoms for a while until the virus has cleared, otherwise it will never go away.

  6. HPV never leaves your body. It's like herpes (cold sores) virus. It lies dormant in your spinal cord and flares up once in a while. Not that HPV is in your spinal cord, but you get the idea. If it were me, I'd be wondering why he was sleeping around to contract that virus when he was supposed to be with me? and then I would divorce him and sue him.
