He's eligible for traffic school. Will that prevent the insurance company from finding out about his ticket? Neither of us have ever gotten a traffic ticket before so we don't know what the best route to take is.

  1. Traffic school is the way to go. The rules vary depending on where the ticket was issued.  Usually if you take traffic school and turn in the paper work the offence is taken off your record and not reported to insurance. Since he is a Fed Ex drive it is important that he keeps a clean record.

  2. Take a ONLINE driving school! I took a great class with  http://www.ticketrelief.com. It was It's simple:

    1. Go to http://www.TicketRelief.com.

    2. Sign up

    3. Take the course

    4. Get your certificate

    5. Drop your certificate off the court - Your DONE!

Ticket Relief saved me huge amounts of money on a potential Insurance increase!

  3. If he is eligible to take a Driving course, he can even do it from home on-line where they mail you the completion certificate. You take this certificate with you and pay the necessary fine about $110 or so (depending on which court it is). They collect the fee and certificate, put you on a 90 day probation which means do not be ticketed within this period again. Once you do this, you are clear! This does not go on the driving record so the Insurance premiums will not be affected.

It could be different depending on the county you are in. Check with the Courts cashiers and they will give you the info.
