I know they take out taxes but should they take out money for our insurance since he no longer works for this company

  1. The best thing to do is to determine (in writing) why $130.00 was deducted.  Since I don't know the "nitty gritty" of your husband's employment status w/ the prior company.  Determine what was the normal insurance charge per pay period. What type of insurance was this?  Get a written explanation and compare with past insurance charges during a typical pay period.

  2. Am I to understand that he quit/got fired from his job,and they gave him a check for the vacation hours they owed him and took out insurance, you better see if the covered past due insuranc payment or it was "accidebtly" taken out and if this is the case then they should re-imburse the $130 if you ask them for it.

  3. Maybe.  If they front the insurance money at the beginning of every month, even though he might not be working there any more, he might still owe for the insurance.

You'll have to ask THEM to be sure.
