My husband had cancer treatment 5 yrs ago-hes healthy now but what are the chances of us being parents?

he had cancer of the neck,Hodgkin's disease and is now healthy and will have been 5 years this nov ember since he got the all clear-what are the chances of us conceiving??

Offhand the chances seem good.  You did not detail your ages, your health, or anything about your history of trying to conceive.  What have the doctors said?

I think there are chances but the only way to find out is to visit a specialist in reproductive health and to have his sperm tested. Or just speak to your doctor. Or just try having s*x without protection...

My parents had the same issue, my dad had radiation cancer therapy and they were told they would never have children again....5 years later, along came my little brother!! Doctors know alot, but cant ever tell you anything for sure!  

Good luck...and my advice, stay away from fertility drugs, they tend to lead to more disease and sickness in my experince then fertility!  you can also always consider adoption...give a lucky kiddo or two a chance at a real family!
