This is a huge emergency, he is supposed to race on PINKS ALL-OUT tomorrow. PLEASE HELP!!! He has checked the spark plugs, o2 censors and the fuel pressure. He has also ran it on a diagnostic computer and still no help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  1. If it's carbureted, it needs to be leaned out by changing the jets. If it's fuel injected, the fuel map needs to be tuned down to get the A/F ratio back where it's supposed to be.

  2. sell it and buy a solar-panel car. Or a hybrid car.

    46 MPH.

  3. Try a fuel pressure regulator if you have an aftermarket fuel pump. Had the same problem on my car. Fuel would overflow from the bowl on the Carb and the fuel lines would leak.

  4. Check your air filter / cats and mufflers.Faulty tps or maf sensor could also be off . Sounds like you need to rescan it . Lose the race /lose your ride.

  5. Check floats and idle/mixture - if car was running well before...one of these would be culprit.

  6. tell your husband it might be the fuel pump regulator, letting too much fuel into the injectors, if if,s fuel injected. if it has a caburator, maybe the float in the carburator is set too high.

  7. does he have larger than stock injectors?  what kind of fuel management system is he using if he does have larger than stock injectors.

how do you know you are running rich (too much fuel)
