hi my husband has a returned check on his credit for $120 and he claims to have never written a check to them. and we figure if he did it would be returned to his bank but yet he claims to have never written a check for that amount. how do i fix this on his credit because we're trying to an apartment and this is holding us back? i must take care of this because my husband is deployed in IRAQ and its kinda frustrating, who do i contact with this information on my husband s behalf?

  1. have your bank look for it. are all your check numbers accounted for. writ for his credit report. if this check is there, write letter to credit report thet this check is not his.

  2. Call the bank and ask for a copy of the check!  See who it was written to, and who signed it.

If it is not his signature, then file a police report for fraud.

It must be proven fraud to get it off your report.

  3. Call the company that says he owes them $120. Find out exactly what the money was for. (This sounds like a scam.) Show the landlord for the apartment you are trying to rent all your checks and that you pay your bills on time. Offer to give an extra month's security deposit. Thank you husband for serving.
