My husband has been offered a job in Newcastle NSW,I've two boys should we go?

I'm afraid of getting home sick, we lived in Melbourne for 1 year but came home because I was home sick but have regretted it since ,we now have 2 boys to think about and how much their life style would be better in Oz.

Newcastle is a lovely 'city' especially if you get to live around Lake Macquarie.  Then it is less than 2 hours drive to the 'big city' or an extremely picturesque train ride.  This makes it affordable to pop to Sydney with your boys a few times a year for the big city experience.  The coastline at Newcastle has clean, clear water and great waves!

I think it takes more like 2-3 years to really feel comfortable in a new location, after that time you have usually made new friends etc.

If Lancs Lass means you are from Lancashire there will be no practical difference between Newcastle and Melbourne.  Both are in Australia.  Newcastle is smaller, and near the coast.  It is a really nice place now the steelworks has shut down.  But it is still Australia.

dont do it newcastle is just going to be alot of dull weather and rain go to oz!
