he misses his pills and his sugar is high. He does not eat right. Now he is out of refills. Doctor won't be in until Tuesday! He only took one pill today now no more until Tuesday! Can he go into a coma or worse? Plus he has high blood pressure! So no pill until Tuesday night late!!

  1. Take him to the hospital where they can help with a temporary perscription until the doctor gets back in.

Just take him to the local hospital because my grandfather died over diabetes his leg had to be amputated I really don't remember why but the fact is you need to get him through the week.

My best judgement would be the Hospital because then they would actually beable to test him because the pharmacy would look at him crazy any one can bring an empty bottle into a pharmacy and ask for more but people ruined that because they just wanted it to get high.

  2. If it was me...I would go to your pharmacy and tell them the situation. In a lot of cases especially with meds that people must have they will spot you some to get you through until the dr. is in.  Make him get some exercise in the mean time and cut the carbs. Otherwise he's gonna feel terrible.  But definitely call the pharmacy!

-The other response is right if he's feeling terrible you should defintately go to the hospital.  But I know from working at a pharmacy if he gets his scripts filled there they may give him a few to get him through!

  3. For a day or two he can really watch his diet and exercise/walk a little more. A good walk will work both very well. Take him around the block for a about 30 minutes or to the mall/sport store for the same time. He should get by, But, you doc should have a 24 hr. call for such things. You might even get the pharmacy to advance 2 or 3 day supply.

    Best Wishes.

  4. Your doctor or someone is on call, so call the answering service and they will give the message to the on call doctor so that he can call you back and you can explain the situation to him. He will be able to call the pharmacy for a refill.....
