Question:

My husband is being sent on an unaccompanied tour for a year. Will I get BHA while he is gone? ?

I know I should be asking his recuriter but hes reluctant to tell me anything. My husband is still in Tech. school too so hes on military time which everything is LaSt minute of course, lol.

  1. I too am a military wife so I'll be speaking from the Navy side of service ... your husband will be provided with the following in his pay disbursements:

    Family Separation, BHA, BAS, and depending on where he's being sent he'll also receive HFP/IDP, HFP/ID, CONUS COLA, FSH and SEA PAY.

    Now keep in mind it is up to him to forward you any of his pay... I would think that you share a joint account so you should have access to any funds deposited (hopefully).

    I've included some helpful links for you, but the recruiter should've been able to tell you what to expect because he's your husband... if the recruiter refused more then likely he's following the instructions provided by your husband.


  2. My husband is in the military (Air Force) if he is sent on a remote tour for a year by himself they give us separation pay and BAH i'm not sure what branch your husbands in but i know that's what they do in the Air Force. Good Luck!
