My husband is self employed carpenter... what insurance does he need?

What type of insurance does he need should he have an accident at work and is unable to continue working? We are looking for an insurance which will cover the mortgage payments should he be out of work. Thanks...

He probably needs liability with a million minimum. I would go to at least two brokers and get quotes. They should know what his legal requirements are, too.

Search for a good pure risk cover polciy with small premium. It should include all riders like accidental benifits, critical illness cover etc.... for mortgage repayment, get a term policy on mortgage... this will give benifit once the policy holder dies..
