My husband is taking a contract job with Boeing in Everett and it is all happening rather quickly.?

We are signing a lease with Millington at Merrill Creek. As we are coming sight unseen, is this in a safe area? It's on Merrill Creek Parkway

You might have better luck with this question by posting it under the area of the country rather than general real estate.  I hope it works out for you.  God Bless.

The area is recently built up around the commercial parks north of the Boeing factory.  I wouldn't feel unsafe there... it seems very nice... mostly professionals who have come to work for Boeing or some of the surrounding companies (Fluke, Goodrich, etc.)  Stay away from Casino Road and Highway 99 or Evergreen Way and you should be fine.

Boeing is a great company and your husband will hopefully be very happy there!
