the friend dropped the bike in our driveway when he came to pick it up, then when he got home he rode it up and down his street(he doesn't know how to drive a motorcyle) long story short he got it stuck in second gear and wants my husband to pay to have it fixed. I say H E L L No!!! My hubby is debating on whether he should pay half and then never talk to him again. I don't think my husband should pay anything it wasn't his fault in the first place that his so called friend doesn't know how to ride a motorcycle am I wrong?

  1. if the deal is done and dusted

tell him your hubbys paying NOTHING

    becuase of the circumstances

if he persists let him becuase he cant

go to the please or sue etc becuase

he is underaged driver and even if he wasnt

you'd win anyway so let it sort itself out

  2. He broke it, he pays for it. Your husband shouldn't be paying for that.

  3. Your husband is not liable to your friend for getting his tranny stuck in 2nd gear. The motorcycle was in the possession of his friend, and his friend was operating it. Your friend, is responsible for the damage he, himself caused. Not you, or your husband.

  4. i understand both sides of the coin but there is no real just and right answer. how much do you value your husband and how much does he value his friend. it is best if you don't cause him to have to choose. there will be no winners. tmm

  5. I wouldnt sell at all now.  If his friend wants tho, make him pay what it was u wanted before he broke it.  If he doesnt, he isnt a true friend.

  6. No, you should inform your husband that real friends take responsibility for their own actions.

  7. He should not have drove it in second gear. Your husband should not bail him out.
