  1. Spain! well since they created the spanish language they speak the BEST spanish! and u will jst luv the way they speak! ;-)

  2. Both maybe wonderful. Castilla, old Madrid, Galicia, Andalucia. Portugal is very close and Lisbon is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Avoid the crowded coasts and "modern" cities and you can have a wonderful experience there.

  3. Yes you can easily do both. You just need to figure out which part of Spain you want to see.  You could do the South the Middle or the North -- and I would do the South if you have never been to Spain before.  Portugal is close to Cadiz and Seville. Cadiz is the oldest City in Europe and Seville is probably the most "characteristic "Spanish" city in  Spain. Also has Corboda, Granada and Ronda. The north is great too, but it a little different than what most people would think of when they think of "Spain".

  4. Spain, any day! better beaches, better food, better sights (natural I mean)

  5. Spain without a doubt , but being from Spain i might be prejudiced

  6. Yes do both. Like it was stated above.. southern Spain you can hit Cadiz and Seville, Rota is a cool coastal town as well. Head over to Portugal and drive the southern coast. Make sure you head out to Lagos on the SW corner of Portugal. Walk down by the water, and for $10-$20 you guys can be taken out on a small rowboat around the beautiful rock formations. I was stationed in Spain a few years back and we made the trip with a rental car.

Head down to Gibraltar as well. It is British ruled, so make sure you have your passports with you.

You can take a ferry across to Morocco as well which I didn't get to do but understand it is amazing. The same can be done to the Canary Islands. It all depends how much time you have.

Have fun - it's beautiful out there.

  7. Once your in Spain, Portugal can't be much more than a two and a half hour drive from where you are. Visit both nations and you will both be happy.

  8. both of them are awsome places

  9. If you visit the north of Spain like Galicia you are very close to Portugal it's right next door.  So maybe you can kill two birds with one stone if you know what I mean, and satisfy both of you.

  10. Visit both, it's like traveling from state to state here.  Use the rails, it's cheap!

  11. My sister who is English like me travels out of the UK to ovoid the poll tax. She goe's to France ,Spain and Portugal. The best is Portugal lovely people, weather and it has the best price's.Go.

  12. Portugal for sure....Spain is on a decline, there's a depression here, bars and restuarants are not busy on mnay coastal regions, and there is so much negativity going on, I wouldnt come to Spain, and I live here!

  13. I enjoy both, depends on your interests.

I like southern spain and the algarve area in Portugal, some nice old fishing villages including Carvaeiro.
