Yes I can honestly say I have been there a number of times over the last couple of years and I think it is a great place to visit or to live.It is a safe, beautiful and vibrant country.Take a look!

Is he out his mind? out of all the other places you could go, he wants to go to Panama! I can't believe it. It's not the worst place you could go, but certainly not the best. If it's for a honeymoon, definitely not. You need to do some research on some other tropical places, there are way better places. Now if he's from around there don't hurt his feelings and not go, but if he's not you better speak up and pick a place.

Panama' is a gorgeous country with lots to do and see. From the Panama' Canal to the mountains in Chiriqui, there is always something to do and see. Best time to go is in Early January for lush waterfalls and dry weather. If Carnival is what you seek, then go during the Mardi Gras Season.  Don't bring expensive jewelry (duh), and get directions to where you want to go before hand. Good luck!

Well there has to be a reason why you are not considering Panama as a destination.  Maybe you wanted to go somewhere else all along.  If that's the case just tell him what you wanted.  Maybe he wants to do it for another reason.  Why don't you ask him why we wants do go to Panama.

As for Panama I can tell you that it is a beautiful place.  Panama City is very modern and there are a lot of beautiful beaches, and for people like me that don't enjoy crowds, the beaches are not crowded like Cancun or Acapulco.

There's a lot to do in Panama.  You can look up all the different things that you can do.  There are a lot of websites with information.  Also take into consideration that Panama is the new tourist destination of Central America.  Right now Panama is in 2nd. place for tourists in Central America, and it's making a good run to overtake Costa Rica as #1.  That doesn't happen because the tourism offers are not up to par.

Give it some thought, you will not end up dissapointed.

it is basically just as costa rica, and hundreds of thousands of tourists go there every year, but panama it's just now as famous as a tourist destination.  It's mostly a banking, finance, commerce, and trade destination.  in panama city you will meet buisness people from all over the world, and its a very cosmopolitan and interesteing place. good place for shopping!!!     there's large rainforests with 'eco-tourism' hotels located right in them, beatiful beaches, you name it.   since most of the visitors are buisness related, they offer all the comforts of a major international city.

Fantastic Place!  We've been there twice and loved it so much we bought property.  Go to Bacos Del Toros, beautiful beaches, clear water and low costs.  Panama uses the US$ so you are protected from the weak $.  Some spanish helps, particularily in the remote areas.
