I usually do it, but He thinks He would do a better job! Should I let Him? What if He takes off too much?

  1. Not only could he take off too much, but he could damage delicate areas of the bush that don't see the light of day!

My advice to you would be to give him a play by play during the actual shaping of how you like it to look, for him to go slowly, and for him to do the clean-up afterward (since you usually do it) so that everyone wins: you, your husband, and the bush.

Men have been shaping bushes for centuries, but one unexperienced hand can leave your bush looking bad all season.

    Good luck!

  2. let him, it will grow back

  3. definitely let him. keeping the bush short will give a better view of the rest of the yard.

  4. Just don't let him get distracted half way, you don't want half a bush.....

  5. uhhh, when i noticed this question dirty things showed up in my mind LOL. "My husband wants to shape my bush?"

Well i think you should give him a shot.

  6. that's a pretty personal choice to let someone else shape your bush, even when it's your husband.

    (wink wink)

Keep in mind that bushes grow back if he takes off too much, so let him give it a try.  It might just turn out that it's one less chore for YOU to do!

  7. Got any pics?

  8. Well, I am a Professional BUSH examiner.  I will be able to tell you if your BUSH is a professional or not.  Send the pics.

Let him.  Don't worry if he takes too much off.  Michelangelo's first painting was probably a bad one.  But look at what he accomplished with years of experience.
