been laid off for "change over". Most of the people in department have been called back except for him and 2 other people. This is the thing, all the guys who have been called back are "buddy-buddy" with the boss and all the way up to the Plant Manager. My husband has more experience and more seniority then the rest of the guys who work with him. Can anything be done about this?

  2. Unfortunatly he can't do much about it. If he could prove discrimination due to age, s*x or race he might have a chance but it would be an arduous expensive long shot legal process. I think the best thing for him to do is step back and take a deep breath and seriously ask himself does he really want to work for a company that treats their employees in such a manner. One last comment that I apologize in advance for saying but sometimes you have to face reality. The automotive industry is in total chaos, and it is going to get worse before it gets better. I would consider a change of employment. Perhaps he could find a job with a similar industry like Catepillar, John Deere, a Motorcycle Manufacturer, there are lots of possibilities.

    Good Luck
