I pack fresh fruit in an ice chest as well as gatorade. He also has an igloo water jug which he brings with him. Any other tips to stave of heat exhaustion or worse heat stroke?

  1. ~~My husband and son do this allot (they are contractors in California!). He needs to wear a large hat for shade. Have him take a towel *hand towels work best), keep it soaked in water and keep it on the back of his neck. A spray bottle full of water works great too, he can spritz often and it really cools the body down. Wear light colored cotton clothing. Sunblock is a must and of course drink tons of liquids. He'll do great!~~

  2. Drink lots of water, rest in the shade whenever possible.

  3. lots of water, make sure he is hydrated the night before too, light clothing and hat.

  4. Call in!?!

No, seriously.  Drink lots and lots of water. Take breaks whenever possible. Recogize the signs his body is telling him of heat exhaustion.

    Headache, dizziness, nausea, etc.

  5. call out sick LOL... seriously though, LOTS LOTS OF WATER, keep hydrated and try and break when you can. That is SERIOUS heat!
