  1. Some or most or all.. (call and check with the jail that your husband is incarcerated in, to be sure of what you can and cannot bring) jails wont allow you to bring inmates in any sheets, soap or food. They may allow you to bring them underwear and sox's but they have to be new, and still in the sealed pack. You can put money in their commissary account and they can use that money to buy the things they need, such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrush etc.. When you go to visit, bring nothing inside with you but your ID and any money that you would want to put in his account. They will search you and walk you thru a metal detector.  They provide the so-called sheets and they do provide 3 meals a day and depending on your jails rules you might be able to bring snacks.. but check first.

I've been thru this with a late boyfriend, and now I'm going thru it with my oldest son, who was just incarcerated last friday.

The safest thing to do is call, and get a list from the jail of whats permitted and whats not.. Good Luck!

  2. Money!!  Not that I would know.  :-p

  3. A cake with a nail file in it!

  4. Soap-on-a-rope! QUICK!

  5. The things you have mentioned are usually furnished. The institution where he is incarcerated will tell you what he may or may not receive. Usually whatever you bring will be examined before he gets it.

  6. bake a cake with a chisel in it lol

j/k but really, the jail will tell you what is allowed.

Personally, I'd make sure he had an account there with money, supply him with reading material, pictures of you guys, write him letters, and as far as bedsheets, i'm pretty sure they supply that. Food I believe is ok but they will check it and the food may never make it past the corrections officers cause they may eat it.

  7. I believe you can bring  things like food, candy also give them a small amount of money, what ever the rules are whereby they put the money into their own account and can buy things within the jail. Check first with the jail to see what can be brought to the inmate.

  8. A chastity belt. Tell him to wear it backwards.

  9. a hacksaw? divorce decree?

Seriously, check with the prison regarding what he's allowed to have. I doubt the things you mention are allowed from outside...I'd imagine those basics are provided (which is why it costs taxpayers so much to house prisoners).

  10. At least where I'm from (oregon) you cannot bring anything into the jail.  Inmates have what they need there. If you bring anything you will have to lock it up. The best thing you can do is to write him lots of letters ( nothing to do in jail ). If an inmate goes to prison their allowed to have certain things brought to them. That's the difference.

Oh of course you can put money on his books for snacks, stamps, envelopes etc.

  11. a butt-.plug with a combination lock

  12. soap on a rope?  money idk

  13. Lube

  14. Ask the jail he is in!!

  15. i had a good friend who was in jail.  i remember only being able to bring a plastic bag with my drivers license and 10.00 in quarters to buy us lunch from the vending machine.

you can call the jail where he is housed and can find out exactly what you are allowed to bring.  i know you can't bring bed sheets, soap and food.
