My huspand's unemployment is getting ready to run out.?

He is looking everywhere,no prospects yet.Getting nervous! Two kids and a lot of bills. Gas and groceries are killing us! Can he get his unemployment extended and if so how? We live in ky.

you both need to look for jobs.  Burger King, whatever.

No, he can't.  He's going to have to lower his standards for a while - even if he's flipping burgers at McDonalds.

Maybe you need to consider you going to work and him staying with kids or both of you looking online and in person. Then with both of you working, you can then afford some kind of daycare.  I don't know about the unemployment but i do know exactly what you are going thru. We are in same boat.

they have a program that pays him to go to school to get a better job in some states. Check in to that and maybe that way he can go to school for more training and that way he might not get let go. Good Luck

Call your Senator!!!

A bill was passed through the House today that would extend benefits by 13 weeks but the Senate is expected to shoot it down. Other then that, I don't know of many other ways. I do know that you can get certain bills deferred or suspended, like student loans or credit card bills. The best thing to do is to call them up BEFORE you run out of money.
