  1. How can a new car from 2007 die already??

    Fix it and sell it.

    ===

    As it is, it won't get much money.

    Good Luck...

  2. If your car is a 2007 it is still under the manufacturer's warranty and everything would be covered just contact your local Hyundai Dealer/Service Center and get the info... regarding your comment to a respectable car, read some Hyundai has been rated very highly by Car and Driver, Consumer reports, and JD Power...

  3. If its just the timing belt thats broken then don't sell your car, its cheap to buy and repair one of those.  Also if your car is a 2007 its only a year old so why would you get rid of it.  And if you want a new car go for a Honda accord coupe it'll never break down and it looks d**n good.

  4. This must be a misprint regarding the year. If it were a 2007 it would still be covered by warranty.

  5. Unless you've blown up the engine whenthe timing belt broke it should only cost you about $750 to fix.

    That's smarter than selling it for next to nothing and buying another cheap car.

  6. You may want to consider getting rid of it.  Most Hyundai's have "interference" engines, which means when the timing belt lets go the pistons smash up against the valves and do all kinds of nasty things.  The worst part is Hyundai may not be able to fix the broken pieces or worse may force you to buy a whole new engine. Engines can run up to 6K, so they will attempt to find a wrecked model and take the engine out of that one to fix yours.  Those can run anywhere from 2-4K..  In the end you may end up with an engine with more mileage than the one you have plus being out more than the car is worth.

  7. Actually, you have one of the more respectable small cars out there. You should still be under warranty unless you drove over 100k in one year. If you did drive over 60k and didn't inspect or change the belt THAT"S YOUR FAULT for not doing the proper maintenance and should not be honored by the dealer.

    You can't call the c**p if you didn't do anything to take care of it.
