My iPod!! Help, Please?

My iPod hasnt been working correctly for the past few days, and now it doesnt even turn on, charge, and when i plugged it into my computer, usually theres a sound that tells me its in there. There wasnt! Should I go get a new one? this one is fairly new..like April 2007 ish new. I'm really bent out of shape about this, any help or tips would be helpful. Will I have to buy a new one, or can I salvage it? btw, its also not responding to the holding-down-button technique used to unfreeze them. The screen is just black. Help!

first of all make sure that ur hold isnt on lol and next when u plug it into ur computer in itunes click on ur ipod and look for a button that says something like rst ipod or restore ipod or something like that click that and it should work... hope this helps =D

yea mine has done that. it stayed that way for a long time. but finally one day i plugged it in and it just started working!

it was a miracle!
