Well, my stupid mom put my iPod in the washing machine because she's a ******* ***** and she KNOWS I can't live without my iPod. Does anyone know a way to fix my iPod? I'm pretty sure it's not possible to take it apart and dry it because it's the kind of an iPod, without a removable back. So can someone PLEASE help me fix my iPod? I'm seriously crying right now. And I really want my iPod. :/

  1. Take it to an iPod store and see what they can do. If it has already been washed theres a good chance you would need a new one.

  2. Impossible.

    Get a new one

  3. well, just because you called your mom that, i'm not going to tell you how to fix it.

  4. It's done.

  5. Wait until the iPod is completely dry (at LEAST 48 hours). Turn the iPod on and hope for the best. If it turns on, your iPod survived! If it doesn't, well... your mom owes you a new iPod.

  6. There was a question similar to yours. The questioner had the same problem, the ipod was washed in the washing machine; anyways the questioner picked an answer which was let it dry and it will play again. The questioner rate the answer full amount, so maybe this may help you. Just let it dry and leave it alone for several days. If your iPod doesn't function take it to your local Apple store and get it fixed. If you still got your warranty you might as well use it before it goes to waste. A warranty works for a about a year or 2. Anyways good luck.

  7. hey try this.

use your hair dryer/blower. and dry it up for a good 30 mins or more. good luck!

  8. put it in a bowl of rice seriously it will absorb all the water

    :]

  9. I had the same exact thing happen to me (a nano as well) and it never saw the light of day again. :( Had to get me another one, sorry.

  10. Maybe let it dry out for a couple weeks and try it.

  11. Water damage voids the warranty. Even if it is very minor, the cost of getting it repaired would be more than the cost of getting a new one. And it's definitely NOT something you should attempt to repair on your own.

In short, looks like you're going to need a new one.

  12. When my cuz dropped her phone in the toilet, yeah i said toilet, she put it in a bag of rice and checked it every 2 days. It works completly fine now. so i hope an ipod wont be any different.
