My iPod froze and I dont know what to do.?

I hooked it up to the computer, and it froze. i already tried restarting it by holding the Menu button, and the middle button down.

where you connect to your computer, next is a button if that is orange slide it back.

try going to the apple store and go to the help bar in the back back of  store if any  of the other advice doesn't work.... ive done that before.

Mine freezes every once in a while as well.

I just used a razor blade to crack the case open at the seam and then at the bottom right side of the front piece you'll see where the cable goes from the battery to the guts of the player. you can pull that cable out and then plug it back in and voila problem solved. i've probably done this like over ten times. the main thing to watch for is these little rubber pieces that want to fall out at the bottom.

if it's under warranty then i would definitely not recommend doing this. but mine was out of warranty and i was not about to ship it out for a month and get a hundred dollar bill for something that takes all of thirty seconds to do.

also i have a fifth generation ipod so i have no idea if this same rule applies to different models. i would assume that the layout would be similar.

Press the middle button and the menu both at the same time and hold it for like 10 seconds

Unplug it from the computer. Lock it, unlock it, and try restarting it again. Hope it works!
