Its a first generation iPod shuffle, and every time I try to push play it blinks between a green and orange light. Its fully charged, and I just installed the newest version of iTunes today.

How do I fix it?

This happened once before, but I don't know what I did to fix it.

I posted this question in the mp3 player section last time this happened, and got zero responses, so I thought that since a lot of teens own iPods, the adolescent section may be helpful.

  1. take it back to the store and  tell them to fix it and i hope you have warranty on it.

  2. Try to reset it by pressing "menu" and the middle button at the same time until it shuts off.  then turn it back on.

    (I have a Nano, so I don't know it it's the same).

  3. Yeah, this is why no one should but from Apple, strictly junk.

My friends iPod freezes all the time I can't stand it. Everyone gets the iPod cause everyone else has it! Seriously it's just about popularity. You don't need that type of stuff, just more money you're giving away.

  4. Hold down the menu button and the center button it will reboot it and it should stop.

  5. trying reseting it,

    1. Disconnect iPod shuffle from the computer (if connected).

    2. Move the switch on the back of iPod shuffle to the off position.

Tip: When iPod shuffle is off, the green stripe by the switch is not visible.

    Wait 5 seconds.

Move the switch on the back to the play in order or the shuffle position. The green stripe will be visible in either position.

iPod shuffle is now reset. If after resetting iPod shuffle you are going to attach it to your computer, be sure to place the switch in the off position. If you were resetting as part of some troubleshooting steps, continue with those steps now. For general troubleshooting steps see the iPod shuffle troubleshooting and service FAQ.

    goodluck!

  6. buy a new Ipod

  7. Maybe try resetting it. If you don't know how look it up in the help section online.
