My ice is leaving a white greasy residue in my glass at times- we have an ice maker and hard water.

the newer time refrigerators have a water filter on it.  Maybe the filter needs to be changed.

Use a hard water suppliment in the dish washer. You have a mineral buildup in the ice maker. Clean the icemaker according to the manufactures instructions. Might want to consider water treatment equipment.

Make sure your ice maker is cleaned out

get a filter attached to your sink, before it hits the fridge.  we got one from home depot.
