My iced green tea jug smells like nail polish remover

the other day i went to drink out of my 2 quart iced green tea from turkey hill at my dads and i smelled it and it smelled exactly like nail polish remover... how could this happen?

Perhaps it went bad, or someone dumped some nail polish remover in it. I know with different juices, the longer they sit, the more they smell like alcohol.

Most likely that is a form of mold and bacteria beginning to grow. You can put a few drops of bleach in the jug with the rest water and let it sit for a few hours. Then wash it really well with a dishsoap and rinse it very well with claen water. It should be as good as new.
