My idea for a cinema/pub. What do you think

what do people think of this idea? I live in East Dulwich and it's quite nice but it could be really cool. How about a small arts type cinema, maybe only one screen upstairs with a pub/bar/cafe attached. After watching a film you could go to the pub to chat about it etc. There'd be posters on the wall outside of the current films playing. Theres a struggling record shop down the road that doesn't get much custom even though it's pretty cool and relaxed. If that was attached as well people could have cool music to listen to or have a bite to eat or a drink while they listen to the music they have and browse through it. It would have a pretty laid back, artsy, cool vibe to the place. There's a warehouse off lordship lane that currently has a market in it which would be a pretty good spot for it. Not only would it be a cool place to go and hang out it would help making East Dulwich a bit more trendy. With the comedy and jazz club across the road in the edt, and Northcross road just a bit up the way the highstreet could become a real trendy little spot. It's hard to get exactly what I mean across but If you live in the area you probably get it a bit better. Anyway, that's my idea, what do people think?

  1. Sounds good I think ya should give it a shot.

  2. You mean about going to the cinema?  Are you planning on opening one?  The idea of it sounds quite cool, there's a cinema like that in Glasgow and has a great chilled out vibe, it's rather small and there are sofas as well as seats.

  3. Have you not noticed that in close proximity to most cinema's there are bars and restaurants?
