  1. Leave it alone and it will fall off soon enough.  Iguanas, unlike people, couldn't care less about having a piece of t**d stuck to their asses.

  2. Once again, some spectacularly ignorant answers from the Yahoo community...

You can remove it in a number of ways, most of which has been mentioned.  What has not been mentioned however is the risk of catching salmonella from coming in contact with the iguana's f***s.  About 1 in 3 captive iguanas carry salmonella in their intestines which contaminates their fecal matter and will easily transfer to humans.  So if you remove the p**p with your hands, do be careful to minimize contact and to wash very well afterwards.

  3. You can remove the p**p very easy.  Get a few cotton balls and a bowl with luck warm water.  Soak the cotton ball and use it to rub againt the p**p very gently.  This will soften the p**p and it will get loose which will allow it to be removed safely with a gentle wipping motion.  Do not yank it off or pull on it once you see it getting soft for it may still be attached to his skin and give him a mild scratch.  Just keep replacing the cotton balls once they get soiled.  After a few uses with the cotton balls the p**p will fall and just assure to wipe him clean.  This happens to many pets and the IMPORTANT thing is to take your time with the steps to assure the p**p is removed without hurting the animal.  Good luck and may you have many great years with your Iguana.

  4. A Kleenex?

  5. i have a bearded dragon and what we do is but it in the bath tub to for a few minutes to let him soak and then if that doesn't get it off try a old toothbrush that's soft and if still not gone use a cotton swab or your finger.

  6. You've gotton to the point of no return you MUST l**k it off... Hope I helped! =)

  7. You could get some baby wipes, or put warm water on some toilet paper, or you could put some luke warm water in the sink, they really like water!!

  8. Children's toothbrush :o)

    Getting rid of stubborn dirt

Once in a while, especially when taking in an iguana who was ill-cared for, you'll see some f***s or undetermined soiling stuck on and between the scales that won't come off with just a good, long soak. Here are a couple of suggestions:

        * After you let the iguana soak for a while, use a washcloth or soft children's toothbrush to gently rub at the soiling to remove it.

        * If it's still stuck on, you can put a drop or two of a child-safe soap or shampoo on the cloth or brush and work it in; then let the iguana soak some more in fresh, warm water. In 15 minutes or so, work on it some more. You may need to do this several times to get the soiling all off. Whatever remains ground-in will come off when the skin next sheds.

  9. a turbo water gun...careful, though, the Iguana may "shoot back"

  10. just leave it there.  maybe she wanted there and if you move it, it will make her angry.  she may just put it right back tomorrow.

  11. take a warm cloth and gently remove it, i have the same thing with my cat, i have to clean p**p off his butt

  12. With your finger...duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... DUH! How else do you think you could do that?

  13. Spray her in the face and see if thats any good

and if that  doesnt work than squeeze her belly

  14. Strap her up. Get some polish remover and rub softly and get  a fork and scrape it off softly

  15. Leave it there. Iguanas, and all other animals except humans, couldn't care less about having some p**p on her butt. noticed how they don't use toilet paper? or toilets? If it is really bugging you, (or her!) gently wipe it off with a damp q-tip, or a damp tissue.

  16. l**k it.

apart from being effective, it means good luck

if it doesn't work you should try stare at it untill it falls.

my cousin did it woth his hamster and it really worked.

you can also wait until you iguana takes another p**p, pushing the old one.

My elephant has a small piece of p**p on her butt, does anybody know how to get it off?

  17. Tie a piece of string to it's tail and go outside. Swing the Iguana round by the string until the p**p flies off.

  18. use a q tip while wearing gloves. try not to get too close to her but though or you may scare her. If she is young, you might just want to let it work itself off

  19. o-my-lanta - I laughed so hard at this stupid question- I must thank the author!!!

In addition, it was the funniest d**n thing to everyone that either answered seriously as if to help and/or scolded him for such a stupid question AND THEN ANSWERED ANYWAY.

you all get the DE DEE DEEEE award!!!

    thanks for making me laugh.

  20. If it's attached to an area on the butt, you can prod it off with just about anything, but if it's still in the "factory" you should let it come out when she's ready.  How would you feel if someone tried pulling your p**p out whenever you had a painful p**p?

    "Everybody laughs"

    "Everybody cries"

    "And everybody takes painful *hits"

  21. Just take a paper towel and pick it off. Maybe rinse her of with water. Water won't hurt the iguana, honey. Good luck.

  22. I would get a q-tip a little wet w/ water and hold her gently and wipe her off.

  23. Put on a glove grab a paper towel and take it off or soak it in water and let if come off that way and dry it off real good afterwards.

  24. wow. of all the questions THIS has over 60 answers? and we wonder why people hate americans...

i have no hope for the future of mankind... =(

  25. Ewww! Like most people who have reptiles answered, let nature do its thing and it will dry up and fall off on its own.

  26. Soak her in a bath for about 10 mins with some shampoo on it then while she soaking every 2 mins pull some of it off it should work it happen to me also

  27. See if it's possible to soak it in some luke-warm water  use a soft sponge may help and a tiny bit of dishsoap.  Maybe you can do this over periods of time and it will come off.

    Good luck!

  28. lol This is like the funniest question I have read in a while. No offense to you its just funny hahahaha.

But ya im gonna go with a Q-Tip, Kleenex, or how about just leaving it alone and he/she will eventually rub it off in their cage.

  29. if its p**p use a toothpick, my hamster had this problem, turns out my hamster was sick with wet tail, it was its intestines not p**p! died next day :(

  30. well if it's still somewhat in the a**s let it fall off by it's self, But if it's just attached just pick it up and brush it off with some thing

  31. I think you should try taking a peice of tissue paper and wiping it. I Don't have any reptiles, but it works with most animals. Just remember to wash your hands afterward!
