My iguana sleeps alot?

well i just got my iguana today and like it was ok but it sleeps alot it tryed to hit me and bit me when i woke it up by accendent but it sleeps alot so is it sick or is it natural?

Hes prolly not sleeping, hes prolly jus basking. If you jus got him today dont mess with him. Give new iguanas at LEAST a week to get use to their new enviroment. After a week. take him out and play with hiim. make sure to wear gloves and kno what ur doing. the more you play with him the less vicious he will be. my iguana didnt liked o be played when when i first got him but now he lets me play with him and touche him and hes fine [hes 2 and ive had him for all 2 years]

He's stressed from moving.  Give reptiles 1-2 weeks to settle into their new homes before handling.  Make sure all temps, humidity, and UVB are correct.  Offer a balanced salad daily.
